I made this banjo in the late 70s. It's gone through several incarnations over the years. The peg head started as a guitar shape, but evolved into a cross between a double cut and an old Vega shape. Since I didn't have a band saw, I cut the peg head with a hand held saber saw, so the cut is perpendicular to the peg head face. I copied the symetrical pearl at the nut from an old banjo and cut them with a jeweler's saw. The rest of the pearl is pre-cut from Stew-Mac. The two dots in the peg-head are reminders of the cam-tuners that I once had there.
