This banjo sounded great, but was a beat to crap rag. I played it for 9 years. The fretboard was flaking off, binding was falling off, the finish was cracking everywhere, the neck heel was worn to bare wood, and the resonator even had a hole filled with bondo. Repair estimates were more than the worth of the banjo. In 2017 I donated this banjo to youth program, where a local luthier agreed to fix it up, and match it to a kid who couldn’t afford an instrument. I sure hope it’s still out there making music!
