John, I have one of these gems, a '22 Style S and I have mated the pot, also with a '20s Whyte Laydie 17-fret tenor neck. I am looking to obtain a 24-1/2" scale 5-string neck for it, as well. I had a 1910 Fairbanks-Vega small pot (10-1/8") and had Wyatt Fawley build a repro neck for it. What a great sound!

I have a friend who converted one of these small rim tubaphones too. The neck was made by Dan Knowles. It is a sweet sounding banjo for sure.

John, Back in late October ('07) Wyatt built a 5-string neck (24-3/4" scale) for my 10-1/8" Tubaphone rim. Needless to say, it is a fine banjo and I am finally learning clawhammer style with it. I played with it at a jam yesterday for the first time and it was a blast.
