It also looks like you have taken special care of it. I have an old Potato Bug Mandolin that has been around my folks house ever since I can remember.
I don't ever remember my Dad playing it, and it has been in a sorry state the whole time. Now it is sitting in my basement. Do you know anyone looking for a project?

Sweet! I borrowed one similar to that a few years ago. I really hated to give it back. I prefer them to F style mandolins. There's a picture of me playing the one I borrowed. (if my picture posting works.)

John, I held an F4 in excellent condition for a few years. John Balch and I have made a living trading pieces between the two of us. He has it now.
Nothing compares to the history of one's father buying it and all that goes with family history. It has aged well.
