I found a John Grey and an Antique show in Mass. (USA) brought it home, had it refretted and played that thing for 2 years, learning beginning banjo from Janet Davis DVD's. It has a very interesting resonator, different from yours. It is an archtop, skin head and dowel stick setup. I love it! I have since bought another banjo, but the memories I have learning the banjo on my John Grey are indelible.
I am having fun and learning alot. Meeting alot of wonderful people too.
Cheers,
Lynn K.
