just finished August 2017- 22-string "harpobanjitar" called The Tibetan Tiger; main neck is a 7-string banjo (6 plus a thumb-string); diagonal 8-string treble harp section (all plain steel); long bass harp section, 7-strings. Head is goat dyed with "kakishibu", a dye/waterproofing made from fermented persimmon juice (pretty cool, huh?); pot is a hollow-core rim with flamed/tiger maple on outer surface. Skin held on with drum hardware. Tailpiece/armrest laminated maple and walnut, top layer is curly Big-Leaf maple. Back/shell is cast resin and recycled paper Tiger head.
