Imagine working inside this costume, or puppet. Which I did. AUGUST, hot. The body is a plastic barrel, covered with fabric. Not much air circulating. The eyes are glued on felt. The person can BARELY see out, through the hat band. The costume's left arm is a stuffed sleeve. The person's left arm is trapped inside the barrel. There is a small electric fan supposed to help cool the person's head, but mostly it just makes a buzz. So, INSIDE the outfit, one gets a feeling of what it is like to be too wide to fit through some doorways, hearing impaired, visually impaired, and with a paralyzed left arm.
