It seems there are some flange plates like this in 2 pieces. This one from #8033 a style 4

My 1925 Style 5 is 1 piece. I haven't heard of a 2-piece plate, though that's always a possibility.

What FON # is yours. The 3 banjos in question are 8033, 8034 and 8041 they all have the Gibson Script Pre-Mastertone Sticker.

Mine is exactly like that. Split in exactly the same spot with the corners nipped for allowance for the tailpiece bolt. #8049-10 - I just got it and assumed it was damaged.
