Hello Mark. This is the best idea ever. I want to build one now.

Is the heel making full contact with the rim?  It seems like an okay idea but if the contact is not good is it really testing full potential of the pot?

No, there is no contact. That could be considered a flaw in the tester I guess. The results of the tester are only relative in the sense that I can compare one pot to another in the unusual situation of being mounted on the tester. It will never totally eliminate scewed results. The sheer weight of al lthat aluminum is bound to affct things as well. Still, I have learned a lot using it.

The bridge on the rim tester is a Moon bridge. I bought it from the manufacturer, Randy Stockwell.
