Just listened to your Darlin' Cory where it appears you used this banjo. Great version... and amazing sounding mountain banjo. Can you tell me more about the banjo? Construction, more pictures? Alembic relates to distilling apparatus right... so I'm guessing what looks like copper sheet/plate on the face is from an old still? Did you build it; or if not who built it for you?

Yes it is a friend luthier who built this banjo from the plan of a Mountain banjo and we added this copper plate on it which made us think of the alloy of a still, it does not have a volume Of its enormous but a good sonority 😊 the ribs are open to project the sound towards the player .. we created this banjo for fun 😊😊😊.
