Since there were already tack holes from the previous RUINED head, I just pushed carpet tacks into every other hole. That left room between them so the hammer would only hit one at a time. Then after they were down, I put in the rest. A knife down inside the plywood freed the body from the clamping squares, and a final trim, and a bit of heat to shrink and tighten even further, and it sounds good to MY ears.
