I found the neck and cigar box at an antique mall for $25. The hole for the dowel at the heel had already been cut. I did the rest, making the tailpiece out of aluminum, finish fitting the neck, bridge, nut, and tuners. I have it strung with Baritone Uke Nylguts, tuned DGBE, but I can tune it GDAE as I had hoped. Overall, I have about $45 in it, but it was worth it. ;)
