I haven't tried this yet. Blue thing is some sort of clamp to keep the strings in the nut. Yellow thing is a wood or nylon wedge. Tune the banjo to D with the wedge in the LOW position, then turn to the HIGH position, and see where they have to be pushed to get it into G. Mark the spots, and see how close you can get to and from, when actually picking.
