This is a great example of easy lead sheets with chords only, along with arranged tunes with written notes ... all with arrangements laid out for instrumentation for: Piano, 2 Acoustic Guitars, Mandolin, Dobro, Electric Bass, Electric Guitar, 5 string Banjo, and Cajon with percussion. My Christmas Eve Book for Banjo ... 1 hour rehearsal, then off to play 3 services. Could I just "listen" my way thru the gig and react to modulations, odd bars, odd time sigs, lines to play or not? .... SURE!! ... but being able to read simple or complex charts makes it easier for the leader to hire me.
