A review of the recent Steam Donkeys show up at Shaver Lake, CA. Most of our "witty banter" was actually my buddy and I arguing about the who was singing the next song.... Pretty fun stuff.

This is a hoot! You 'strummed'? LOL!! I don't suppose the relaxed ambiance that settled over the crowd was in the form of a straw scented cloud was it? Actually, this is really, really cool. It has that small town sincerity and thoroughness that makes it even more cool. You boys are really taking off, it seems. I think a t-shirt is in my future, too. Let me know if y'all ever play in Utah or Colorado. I have some friends that would really dig you.

I'd love to catch a show on your next southern tour! Keep me in the loop.

Intro to Steam DONkey:
As the moon slips up, and the sun sets down,
I'm a farm-hand jockey, and I'm tractor-bound.
Do the hay-bail shuffle, loose brains from brawn.
I'm a donkey puzzle and the jam is on.
Can you guess my name? Can you guess my trade?
I'm going to catch you anyway.
You might be right. I'll give you guesses three.
But that ain't my banjo on your knee:)
Guess what I am. I'm a Steam Donkey!
(Music by Jethro Tull... corrupted lyric by Demented Ken)

Thanks for the comments gentlemen! Unfortunately, the Donkeys will only be doing reunion shows since one of the founding members went up and moved away, supposedly for his "job." Although, one would argue that what job could be more important than being a Steam Donkey?! Ken... Brilliant!!!
