This lovely lady hangs out near our pool and does us the favor of keeping the bug population down.

As a child I liked to catch grasshoppers to throw in the webs of these to watch them wrap them up. Pretty entertaining for a little boy. I have one out back now that I'm tempted to feed (part of me will never grow up I guess).
They seem to show up here in Virginia in late August / early September.
