Got my Little Roy 50th anniv. banjo the other day. Great banjo and I love playing it. What is the thing between your bridge and tail piece on this picture?

HI Jon,
I cant wait to see your Little Roy banjo My is all Mahogany. Well it is a Banjo Tone Enhancer-mute. Just place over the bridge and you have a mute: store by tailpiece when not in use. Got it from Janet Davis Music company, or WWW.banjostore.com the cost was about $20.00.
