Not a lot of volume but a pretty tone. It's pretty loud when I hold it away from my body. 13" head

Very nice! I got one for Christmas and am starting to get used to it (first time to play a fretless, though I did get one with "flushfrets", so it has training wheels, so to speak). I've found that I prefer to tune it so as the fifth string is tuned to "d" ("G" = dADF#A; "G modal" = dADGA; "double C" = dGDGA. I didn't like the sound with the fifth string tuned to "e" (the other suggestion Eric had in the note that came with the banjo, besides fifth string = "d"). How are you tuning yours?? Enjoy and hope to see a video of you playing it soon!
