Hi Kevin,
Glad to hear that you are still picking. I sent the old mountain banjo back to Charlie Glenn himself to have it un-modified. It now has a new head (the old one had a small tear in it) a new bridge, and original style tuners that Charlie carved himself. It looks and sounds great and I find myself playing it much more that the Howard that I bought when you and I were at Zepp’s. Additionally, I broke down and got a Menzies Tackhead minstrel banjo.
Hope all is well with you,
-Scott

BTW, visitors not welcome without an appointment. I found out the hard way. Got kicked out of the parking lot too.
