Hello Banjo Friends, I'm close to completing the second banjo of my EMERSON Power Banjo Collector's Series. Serial (#001-A) sold last year. This one will be Serial (#002-A). My plan for the Collector Series is as follows: There will only be 20 banjo made for this Series. I will build one banjo per year for 20 years. Each will be called The EMERSON Power Banjo but they will all be uniquely different from one another. Each one will be assigned a serial number which will represent the order in which they were built. Now comes the fun part. If by chance I sell this #002-A banjo and I am asked to build more of the them due to popularity, I will do that but they will have a serial #002-B1, #002-B2 and so on for each additional banjo built. The significance here is that there will only be one original #002-A built for the Collector's Series. The picture of the headstock drawing was from my initial planning stages. You can see how the real banjo headstock turned out. The banjo has been lacquer stained in Burnt Cherry Sunburst. It is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I'll show those pictures on my new website once the site is completed. I'm very excited about this venture so please stay tuned. For the curious minded guys and gals, this banjo comes equipped with a Blaylock Tone Ring.
