What a great looking banjo ! and I bet it sounds great as well .. Please stop by if you are ever coming through Litchfield Ct . My pottery is on rt 202 just west of bantam center.. Lots of tunes and banjos to share !

Thanks Guy. It's got a very resonant low sound. 13" pot, thin, and goatskin. it really resonates. It's fretless with just striations marking the fret positions, which were on the original Stichter so I opted to not change that. I try to ignore the fret markers altogether though, because I slide the bridge around often to help when changing keys.

I do that a ton as well . I have a brass fingerboard banjo from Kevin Fore and when Im down in F the bridge is way back and near the middle of the drum for A & D tunings . On the Ashborn the bridge is a little nearer the back rim then normal for tone but it makes for a stretch on the fingers .. I love what you just did in the Sawmill conversation ..
