Someone snapped our picture Thanksgiving, 2006. Michael is my husband. I am playing my old Vega because I had not yet purchased the Chuck Lee.

What head is on your Vega? I may have to replace the skin on mine and am not sure Fiberskyn is what I should have. Ken

I think I have some synthetic head on it that was hard to find. I believe it came from Elderly, but the diameter was a weird one.
I rarely play that banjo as I prefer the newer Chuck Lees I currenly own. When that picture was taken I was new to banjo playing, so I have no idea what was on the Vega then. I know that my husband dropped the banjo shortly after that picture was taken and we had to search for a new head.

That's a Vega Tubaphone with a Renaissance head. I've got one set-up the same way.... played it yesterday, it rings sweet as could be. I hope yours does too Judy.
