Ohh man this banjo sounds like a dream! It was handmade in North Carolina by the Pisgah Banjo Co. It has a 12" Cherry rim, Dobson style heel neck, Persimmon fingerboard neck and peghead cover.

There seems to be some good instrument makers in NC. When my budget allows, I've picked out a builder in NC for my open back. Not any time soon though! I'm pleased you enjoy your new banjo.

Thats great...Patrick Heavner and Topher Stephens are "fantastic" luthiers. I love the fact that they use all local materials in this banjo and the quilted-star design is definately appalachian. If you like wood and the look of wood, these banjos are for you!
