I have never played this on the banjo. I usually play it on mandolin, but it almost works in open D tuning. I can't seem to find those low hammer ons in bars 7,8,10 and 12, so I've transposed them up an octave. I've always thought that this sounded like a guitar, though lots of folks swear it's a banjo with the bridge muted with coins under the feet. Sorry that it's inverted. I hope it's readable. I play all of the notes with a slide. Gus plays it in E.
