I used to raise and breed english cockers, but now I am an American field lab man.. Nice dog, do you go to the Westminster?

Nope, haven't been invited there yet. I'm way too much of an amateur. But I currently co-own some dogs that have been sired by Westminster invitees. Westminster is incredibly difficult show environment. My bulldog Hammer's grandmother was invited and her breeder declined the invitation. Its just such a huge hassle up there. My mom has always had Am. Cockers (not show dogs). I had never seen the English cocker until I started showing. Neat heads on those dogs.

I didnt show them but did bird hunt one, he was pretty good to an partridge. The american field lab that my wife and I own is a working dog. He is a narcotics dog for the sheriffs office that my wife works for. we raised an english labradors for guiding eyes of Maine but she was to soft so now my mother in law has her as a pet. Sweet dog. we helped with three dogs and two made it. It really is the dogs temperment more than anything else. The lab we have now is a total SPAZ but a great sniffer, he just wont quit. He is 85lbs, very muscular and loves to play and knock over our three year old!
