Looks similar, but not exactly like a Jenes Cottrell pot (aluminum torque converter ring from 1956 Buick transmission).

Well it definitely came out of a Buick trans. Jenes would use the rings out of "53-'59 Dynaflow transmissions, and the design of the part changed over the years. I had one turbine ring that was much deeper and made an archtop banjo, this one is shorter and flattop.
