TEE nuts as Resonator lugs.

Posted 9/17/2012 8:42:34 AM

Rather than shop around for three replacement lugs and four screws for this relatively inexpensive VENTURA banjo, I made 4 blocks, drilled them, glued them in place, ground the side off a Tee nut so it would fit against the resonator wall, and used standard hardware store cap screws to hold the resonator in place. A padded clamp held theblock against the wall, while I used the screw and a washer, to pull the teenut prongs into the wood, from below.
