After the surgery (none of that Arthoroscopic nonsense here!) this is the wound. I'm not allowed to lift anything with my right hand for 7 days, and nothing heavier than a can of beans for 3 weeks after that! It hurts a lot, but mostly cus I'm almost exclusively Right Handed and keep forgetting I've had surgery! Sleep is hard too, trying to find a comfortable position is near on impossible. The surgeon described excising about an inch of diseased tendon, scraping away quite a lot of diseased tissue around the tendon and even shaving away some bone to try and ensure a good re-attachement. Fingers crossed. Oh, and I will never play tennis. Ever.
