Thank you so much for your interest and comment on my humble homemade banjo!
5th string tuner, yes :) When I got to that step where I needed to install the 5th string, I couldn't find such a tuner at any local music store, so I had to think!? :)
If you're able to look on my profile page and study my pics, you'll see my first idea: The tuner at the tail piece and the string hooking around a screw head at the neck.
It lasted only a year and half or being an old one, so I modified a regular tuner and installed it to the neck(you'll see 2 pics at my latest pics) If you can't access them, please let me know!

Clever! I really like the resonator. Also, it's sounds awfully good considering there is no tone ring.
