This is a closeup of the Gibson Mastertone PB6 that Kevin plays. It was most likely made in 1928 or 1929. The closeup shows some of the engraving detail on the body. The banjo was restored in 2011 by Renee Carnes ( banjosbyrenee.com/home.html ). The only person I would have trusted to do the job. She painstakingly went through and re-engraved portions of this to match the original. In addition she refinished the neck to perfection while still respecting the original integrity of the instrument.
