I love growing veggies and canning. Its great to open up a can of fresh green beans in the middle of winter.Especially when you know where they came from.I'd like to see your garden pictures too.

Wow. Nice garden! I love gardening and have not had a big one since I moved. This sort of thing makes me itch to have another big one. That time of year to plan...

Hahhahha..Thats a great idea rgoad.I'll have to rig one of those up.I sure love my garden. This piece of land was part of my dads farm years ago.He had 160 acres and we lived there. Then in the early 80's he lost it all right before all that farm aid stuff. He got to keep 10 acres of woods where his house stood. The rest of the farm was auctioned off and a Land company got it.This property sold..not even an acre.It had a trailor and a huge big barn that my dad used for tractors and machinery.Well the people left there after their mobile home burnt down and the property went back to the land company. We tried for several years to buy this and finally two years ago we bought it.It was a mess. All grown up and trash everywhere. The barn has to be repaired.Jacked up on both sides and lumber replaced from rotting. We live on what is left of my dads farm on 5 acres of woods that was deeded over to me by my mom,who I took care of after my dads death in 1989.She passed 10 years later of alzheimers. So in the woods where I live I could never have a garden. As soon as we bought this little bit of heaven..I started planning my garden. It took us months to get this place cleaned up.It is bottom ground so the soil is so rich.I'll post somemore pictures of out little piece of land.It has a creek on two sides.I love it down there. And I feel my dad and mom there. They also loved it.And you talk about growing a garden!! The maters are huge, juicy, sweet and bright red!!! hahha
