Can some one tell me how to place the ring that goes between the tension ring and the flange. I know where it goes, and that the hooks pass through it, but since I am buliding my own BJo, I don't know whether to notch the outside of the pot or just have thw ring fit tight against it.

Hi Terry, try to go to the banjo building, setup and repair forum here in the BHO and post your question and someone will explain how this is done. Click on forum and scroll down and you will see the link. Good luck.
