Yeah, that should be all closed up after 4 months. Like the kid said, maybe it was left to drain? Make sure you are eating plenty of good stuff, like blueberries and drinking lots of water. Your body can do grat things for itself if you feed it right

Ol' Doc Ken sez: soak that puppy in warm phisohex fer 3-5 min. (in yer sink) 3x day ... promote any drainage... air dry... then use BACTROBAN OINTMENT (mupirocin) and a telfa bandage... repeat until healed... or .... yer pickin' like The Kidd... in which case, we should all follow that regimen!!!

Hey Donnie. After 4 Months Mate it should be Healed i reckon. I know you must have heard all sorts of Old Wifes Tales. but have you tried putting Honey on the Wound. My Late Dad used it all the Time for Wounds, and he used to Drink it with Cider Vinegar, every Day. I didnt Believe how Good it was until my Dog nearly Hacked his Paw off on a Shard of Glass. I put Honey on the Wound, put a Buster Collar on him so he coudnt Lick it, within Two Weeks it had Healed. It was a Massive Wound. You cant even see a Scar now. Its worth a try Mate !

Eddie... honey does have antibacterial properties and promotes wound healing... in certain settings... and there are extracts that are made for this purpose, but i only have limited experience with it.
Donnie... if i recall correctly, you have Type II diabetes(?)... which does slow wound healing for a variety of reasons. The bottom line is you must have your glucose in tight control my good man. One of the most difficult areas to treat wounds in a diabetic, is the foot... so take care of yer dogs man:-)

Hey Donnie I am also a type 2 diabetic.
When my sugar levels are hi i have a hard time healing up. I have to cut all the carbs out or way way down then i heal. Hope you get well soon.
