Terry, What kind of Banjo are you playing in the awards show performance photo. I believe it's the same one you used on the DVD of Doyle Lawson 25th Anniversary?.....I could not get a good virew of the head stock on the DVD. It really sounds good.

Hey,
Thanks for the question. You are right...it is the same banjo from the Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver 25th Anniversary DVD. It is a Gibson banjo that was made for me in 2003...a mahogany banjo with the 'wing & gull' inlay (1 pattern) This banjo is a proto type for a Gibson Baucom model, which never went into production. Soon after, I began working with Greg and Janet Deering (and Jens Kruger) to develop the Terry Baucom Deering model, which I have played exclusively since the Fall of 2008. Thanks again.

Thank so much for the response and info. I am also a fan of your playing style and have one more question if you wouldn't mind. What kind and Gauge strings do you use? Thanks again Terry.

I use D'Addario Strings; gauges: 11, 11, 13, 20, 11
