Hey Steve, What kind of strap is that on your banjo ?

That is a piece of 550 nylon twine common in the fishing business,Sam.
I use it as a "cradle" strap and have one on all my banjos.
I own 1 strap(Blue Note) which I simply clip onto whichever banjo I'm playing.
The other end is just out of the pic and looped over the thumbscrew under the armrest.
The string fits in through the heel cut under the head bead...no contact with the finish on the neck.
