Never too late to start pickin'. Once you've got music you'll always keep coming back to it. Your dog reminds me of my grandfather's dog "Rex". That dog kept my grandma safe from a door-to-door sales man who got a little too fresh. He never came back for his vacuum cleaner. It wouldn't have cleaned the crap that got scared out of him anyway.
