17. Installing the metal band. This is a 1/2" heavy gauge aluminum strip, pre-drilled. I actually drilled this and the rim at the same time, by wrapping several layers of masking tape around the rim, then installing the band with about three screws and drilling the rest of the holes. The clamp holds the band down so it doesn't slip off before I get the remaining screws in.
