Does your Hartford have a gloss finish or matte?

Deering puts what they call a vintage satin finish on the Hartford. I no longer have the Hartford neck on my Hartford. It is maple and warped a couple of years ago. I was not able to get it back to where it would not buzz at the first 4 frets so after several unsuccessful tries at eliminating the warp, I replaced the neck with a Nechville neck. It turned out to be a terrific combination. You can see some of the neck on the banjo to the left in my avatar. The banjo on the right is a Nechville Classic, and the one in the middle is a Deering Maple Blossom. The Nechville neck does not take away the sound of the Hartford. You probably know they have a grenadillo (wooden) tone ring. So it is lighter than a metal ringed banjo. You can read about specifics for the Hartford at this Deering web page:
