Oh, yea, and Mark Hatfield is actually one of my BHO Buds, George...he's a great guy and is always willing to speak with anyone about his banjos...really one of the best deals around for the money :-) If I hadn't already purchased mine I would'a bought a Hatfield...

George, if you are referring to an Arthur Hatfield banjo I have one now and just sold one resently. Nothng better on the market in my opinion.

What do you think of it?--I have never bought a musical instrument
without first playing it first-what kind of sound does it have-do you like
the neck? I have A morgan monroe now--looking to upgrade.

Sorry, Donnie's right...oops-it's 'Arthur' Hatfield. ;-) BTW, I just KNEW you'd be upgrading...a very good sign ...LOL

George, I love my Walnut Special. It is easy to play, the neck has great shape and feels right in my hands. It has a nice tone, yet lots of power and a deep 4th string sound. I understand that everyone appreciates a little something different in a banjo, but Arthur's banjo's provide about as much you could desire and just look for yourself. He is maybe the most respected builder out there, or at least one of the very top. I would buy anything Arthur makes and would not have a worry one about it. I have picked at least a dozen different Hatfield banjo's and have not picked one that I did not lust over and trust me I am not alone.
