With those hard beads, how do you punch controlled holes into the stingray hide? Just as usual with an awl working between the beads? Impressive work.

Thanks, Tom. I didn't punch holes. When I use lace I make slits with a chisel. It makes a lot smoother and less conspicuous hole that way. Tandy Leather Factory caries the chisels for the job.
