While felines (esp. the larger females) are incredibly successful hunters... don't know if it would be wise to mess with an eagle... those talons are a shade bigger than any domestic cats' claws! However, don't think an eagle would want a cat at it's neck either. Best fer both just to keep starin' at the other... and back away quitely:-) Great photo, fer sure... and would love to know what transpired?!

Yes this photo is a favorite of mine, got it off the web years ago. I think it's real. Having seen an eagle up close (alive in a large trash barrel!), that's a big cat. But my money would be on the eagle.
