This is one of my most cherished photos. Taken in the 20s of my great great grandparents. Grandpa "John" was born in "Raywick" near Lebanon in central Kentucky and was a tobacco farmer and mason by trade. Mary Elizabeth or "Betty" was from Loretto Kentucky, also near Lebanon. He LOVED to hunt and fish, and I have many stories about him, he was quite the character. He had a pet "raven or crow" that he raised from a baby that used to sit on his shoulder like a parrot and he would feed it pieces of cornbread or bread. It would go with him everywhere my granny and pawpaw told me! :)
