Hi Mr. Stewart. I just got me a 1954 RB-250 arch top. I'm excited to see how she stacks up to some of the pre-wars I've owned. Looks to me like you've got a fine old banjer here. Like a lot of other guys I'm of the opinion that there were some pre war parts left over that got used up in the early 100s, 150s, and 250s. What year is old Skillet head here?

Frankie, that's a Bowtie with most likely a prewar pot assembly made from old Gibson parts lying around that had yet to become perhaps the last prewar banjo.
