Hey Jbjo.  Yes, it is.  In that photo, we had just put it on.  They are a bit hard to come by, but Banjo.com has a few of them.  They knew I was in search of one and finally got some from the Nechville guys who have been putting it on some of the Midnight Phantoms.  The frosting isn't as heavy as what was on the original head; but the original head was a Tawainese made Remo so it had lead based paint.  Its smoother than the white heads too, sort of feels like velvet.  I REALLY like the texture.  Now that I've gotten it set up correctly again, I really can't detect much difference in the sound.  Maybe slightly brighter, but nothing like a slick head.  I haven't had another RK-80 to compare it to, so its hard to say exactly, but I think the sound difference is negligible.

Nice picture Diva. You going to IBMA then you can play a few RK's I figure. I hope anyway that there will be a couple there that I can hear. At least you will be able to pick mine up and give it a whirl, beware she isn't as pretty as yours, I've been playing it very hard everyday.

SZ, I'd like to make it to IBMA sometime just to see the spectacle.  Where is it this year?  I hear that there may be some more R-80s available in June or July, but don't hold me to that.

Nashville, TN. After talking to all the folks on here and Greg and Scott saying they were going to be there, Dick Brown, geez a lot of those on here and a lot of those involved in the RK, I had to go.

Called the number and got a non-jamming room. I figured if my wife was sick of hearing the music she or even I could go back to a room where it was quieter but stay in the jam areas if we wanted. It is Oct. 1 - 7 and Greg Rich said I should make it for Fan Fest if nothing else so I'm going Thursday - Sunday. I know I will be too nervous to just sit and jam so I hope I can get that in, that will be my goal.
