Hi Chris, I was wondering why no one has made any cheaters like Johnnie's these are so great that you could operate both at one time is just amazing, how come they have never been copied!

Hi Phill. I have wondered the same thing. I can only imagine that Johnnie's style of using them was very unique, and not too many people use both at the same time while playing those particular songs that use them. I've also wondered if there were any patents or registered trademarks that prevented folks from duplicating them. Don't know. Wonder if they would be hard to make? I sure do enjoy watching Johnnie use them on "Home Sweet Home", and "Black Mountain Rag". I've only seen these style cheaters on a couple of banjos. I believe Johnnie made them clear back in the 40's. Again, not sure. Thanks for your comments!
