Yes it is. I used it to experiment with a dyed Bill Miller head. Turned out great. The hide head was ideal on that aluminum rim.

Well you did it up real nice, I bet it sounds good too. I always meants to get that thing fixed up, but seems like any other project always came first. Glad someone did something with it.

It is amazing how good these inexpensive aluminum rim banjos can sound. The great Nashville fiddler, Shad Cobb, runs around town playing awesome clawhammer on a banjo like this that everyone affectionately calls "Carlos"
