Rusty...I forgot that I had already commented on your Rainier photos (must be old age). I don't remember the route. We started our assent at midnight...crossed some crevasses. I can picture the route but can't name it...whatever the Whitaker guides were using back then.

Yep, you were on Disaapointment Cleaver route and they still guide it.
What were the names of the guides that died, my guide partner worked for the Whittakers for fifteen years?

I have movies of that climb. Our two guides were Duson, a Czech who died on Rainier several years later, and Eric, who died climbing Mt St Helens with Joe Kennedy (Bobby's son). I met Joe when he was 19 at Paradise lodge after we did the Rainier summit. Sorry for the 1 1/2 year delay...I didn't know you responded.
