ROCK N ROLL BANJO! 'First attempt at playing banjo to the 1957/58 Rock n Roll classic: At The Hop by Danny & the Juniors. The aim is NOT bluegrass but rock n roll. Stay tuned for the recreation of Heavy Metal Banjo (electric), soon in 2023. 😎💖🪕

This is the ONLY known copy of this audio, and that is a shame because I'm a little proud of it. It's what my RB250 sounded like with a head mute (leveraged under bridge) and a set of two Bill Lawrence rail humbucker pickups while overdriven to 1000% heavy metal distortion and use of a wah pedal. Otherwise, it has a simple kick beat of drums. - I dismantled my electric RB250 in ?, but currently I really have the need to convert one of my Recording Kings to "heavy metal" electric. Sadly, the mp3 was reduced to just 128kbps, and the original recording was made on a simple dual cassette tape recorder. I have had people tell me to my face this could NOT be a banjo, that it HAD to be a guitar. lol It's my Gibson RB250 and no guitars were used.

A best effort at banjo-rhythm to: One Horse Town by Blackberry Smoke. This has been a favorite song ever since I first heard it on YouTube a couple years ago. Backing track used (Thanx YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOUT9B9VHAU Sorry for playing the strings so hard, as I had to compensate for a bad mix in my monitor-phones. I almost broke a string playing so slow.

A solo banjo instrumental I wrote. Alternative genre and peacful. (Video in works - drone footage) I used my 2021 RK 76 Elite banjo, and for the 25 second long introduction I used a Roland TB-3 effects box. This is the first time I have recorded anything in years.

'about the negative impact of smart phones on people's lives. I play banjo, tambourine (chained to my left leg) and do freestyle vocals ('a"rappish" thing). Inspired by smart phone distracted people walking into trees, head on traffic, hearing "unfriend" on elevator rides AND finally, my good friend, Jeff Stamper's song: "That Darn Cell Phone", found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDM_yBWs1c4 This mp3 was cut from the video on my YouTube Channel. A backing track was used.
