I moved the mike away from the banjo after talking, so it's louder than it sounds. I also forgot to mention the Persimmon tone ring which surprised the hell out of me considering how loud this banjo actually is.

Ya sorry about that. When I was testing the recordings I had it plugged into really loud speakers and didn't notice that the recording volume was actually turned almost all the way down. I'll do another review when I get the chance.

That sounds great Madison. Thanks so much for posting this audio review, And we at Pisgah Banjos really appreciate your kind words, enthusiasm, and your clean quick clawhammer pickin. Keep it up. We'd love to see a video if you ever get that worked out. A goal of ours, once our new website launches in a few months, is to host a blog where we can share audio and video contributed by Pisgah Banjo owners and friends. We look forward to you being a part of our Pisgah Banjo community!

Of course! Sorry about the low audio. I'm busy and barely had time to make that review. Once I realized I had the recorder turned down I didn't have time to do another one. As soon as I get the time I'll make a better quality recording or hopefully a video if I get it worked out. Thank you again for this badass banjo! I can't put it down.

Great sounding banjo and definitely NOT the playing of a "beginner" as you called yourself ! You sure can play that thing and your playing does this banjo justice ! I'm considering the exact same banjo (11' possum with walnut neck and rim). This just makes it even harder to hesitate any longer... Thanks for this, that's what I was looking for. All the best,
kevin

You won't regret it. It's a wonderful banjo.
