Another song from my long out-of-print kid's album. The fiddle (played by Michael Jerome Browne) is playing Mississippi Sawyers, the banjo is playing a counter-melody that I made up. The words are a traditional skipping rope rhyme. The ruder street version says "underpants", not "fancy pants"...and inserts the name of the person skipping as the person whose pants were being seen. I guess if a person were skipping high enough, the song would be true.
